For more than 6,000 years, Wanuskewin was a gathering place for Indigenous Peoples of the North American plains. Now home to Canada's longest-running archaeological dig, researchers have unearthed more than 200,000 artifacts since the 1980s, with many predating the ruins of Rome and the pyramids of Egypt. The recent discovery at Wanuskewin, is significant to the unfolding story of Indigenous history in the area.
